Libby Media sought to commemorate the launch of their Author Joselyn Takacs’ new book with a signing at the Tombolo Store in Soho.

The Event

Libby Media sought to commemorate the launch of their Author Joselyn Takacs’ new book with a signing at the Tombolo Store in Soho. We wanted to create a display/ experience that complemented the nautical theme of the store, while celebrating the thematic backdrop of Takaks’ novel.

 As the guests arrived at Tombolo, they were greeted by Peeko Oysters laying on a bed of crushed ice in our signature Little Wood Boat display. They were served with our house Cocktail Sauce and Mignonette. Takacs’ Novel, Pearce Oysters, follows the story of a family and their oyster farm as they navigate disaster on the Louisiana coastline. The author read a chapter while the guests enjoyed freshly shucked Peekos on the half shell. 

 The Result

Our event with Libby Media and Tombolo Soho was an incredible success. The turnout overflowed onto the street! Anticipating a strong turnout, we brought an extra 200 oysters and made sure everyone could enjoy. Guests have been enthusiastic about following up and scheduling tours of our Farm in New Suffolk, helping to bring parts of their new favorite book to life.
